Dr Mike Stroud OBE
"I was thrilled to hear of the 'Walking the Amazon' expedition, for not only is it ambitious but it is also novel.
Not for these guys just a further repeat of something done before, but instead a truly unique and massive challenge. I have no hesitation in offering my full support"
Mike is an expert on human health and endurance under extreme conditions. He has studied this based on personal experience - running marathons in the Sahara, and trekking across polar ice with Ranulph Fiennes. In 1992/3 Stroud and Fiennes made the first unsupported crossing of the Antarctic continent.
Luke and Ed wish to thank Mike and all their other supporters.
